I grew up in Woodstock New York in the 1970s as a child I used to go and visit New York City all the time. The city was very different than it is now, much more loose and real. Two summers ago I went back to New York City with my family. I decided I needed to sketch while I was there. Thus was born the first of my fabric sketchbooks. I wanted to be able to roll it up and put it in my bag as I moved around the city A sketchbook is a medium of expression that is accessible to everyone. It allows me the freedom to express different sides of things with every turn of the page. This version of New York City is a "facsimile version" of . Which means this version is a reproduction, ink jet printed on archival linen. This is a one-off copy of the original, with quite different covers and hand sewing embellishments, hence both books are unique.
